Hair Bows

Having a girl is so much fun. I have started making hair bows and flowers and love making them. I found a website that shows how to make hair bugs, I thought they were so cute that I made some for McKayla. Got to have accessories!!!

Ladybugs

Bumblebees

Butterflies (I made two of each but only put one of each color for the picture)

Busy Life

We have been pretty busy around here, what else can be expected with four kids. It actually hasn't been to hard to adjust yet. McKayla still sleeps a lot which has been great. She only wakes up once during the night and goes right back to sleep after she's done eating. The boys still love her and always kissing and hugging her. I have to remind them to be careful and to back off. Kyler and Nathaniel finished two weeks of swimming lessons and had so much fun. Our ward is having a neighborhood swim party on Thursday at the Farmington pool. The boys are all very excited, I'm glad to have a reason taking care of McKayla so I don't have to get into a swimsuit. But who knows maybe she will want to go for a swim. Here are some more recent pictures of McKayla. She is now four weeks old, I can't believe how much she has changed already. We will have her blessed on Sunday August 2, everyone is welcome to come!

It's a Girl!!!

Just a quick note to let you all know that we had our baby on Friday June 19th. She is a beautiful little girl weighing in at 9 lbs 3 oz and 21 3/4" long. Labor and delivery went better than I could have asked for. It was such a beautiful and spiritual moment as it is with any birth. We are so thrilled to have her here and are instantly in love with her. The boys can't get enough loving her. Her name is McKayla Lee Haroldsen. We chose the middle name Lee because both my mom's and Nick's mom's middle name is Lee. Hopefully I can get some picture posted soon but I did just have a baby so we'll see.

Lagoon

Friday was Lagoon day for Nicks work. O.C. Tanner generously pays for everyone and their families to go and also provides dinner. The kids look forward to it all year and were very worried that the baby would come early but lucky for them I am still pregnant. But who knows maybe spending the day at Lagoon would get things going. It was a lot of fun, but it was probably the busiest day so far. The lines were really long for the rides. The best time to be there was between 8-10 pm because most of the families had gone home. The kids loved it when they could go from ride to ride with no lines. Here are some shots of the boys having a great time!

It's almost time!

With only ten days left, I thought it was time to post a pregnant belly picture. As you can see, it is definitely getting time to have this baby. You know its bad when your pregnancy clothes don't fit, what am I supposed to do? My poor family have had to suffer along with me because I have had no energy and can barely get off the couch. My great husband has taken up my slack with the housework and the boys have learned to be more independent (especially when it come to food). We are very excited to have the baby come and trying to get everything ready.

Like father like son!

It looks like we have another runner in the family. Kyler's school has a fitness program that utilizes the walking track behind the school. For every 4 laps = 1 mile the kids go around they collect a foot to put on a necklace to keep track of how much they walk. Well, Kyler likes to run 1 mile during each recess, thats 3 miles a day. He has earned 61 feet, thats 61 miles he has run this spring since the snow melted. He has heard about marathons and wondered how far that is. I told him it was just over 26 miles. His comment was "What's so hard about that. I've run 60 miles!" I had to explain to him that it was 26 miles at one time. That makes a little bit of a difference. On saturday the school had a fitness day starting with a 5k run. Kyler was very excited to partcipate and was counting down the days for the race.

Kyler and Nick at the starting line, ready to go!

Here they are coming across the finish line. Kyler had a good sprint to the finish.

And finally crossing the finish line at a time of 31:27! Kyler did a great job running his first race and what an amazing time for a 7 year old!
