April Fools part 2

I was having a really bad pregnancy day on April Fools. One of those crazy emotional draining, crying over everything day. I was also physically drained and couldn't get off the couch much and wanting to sleep all day. I had planned to make a crazy dinner but that just wasn't happening. So, the next day I was feeling much better and decided I could still make a crazy dinner. I told the boys we were having cupcakes for dinner and they were very excited. I called everyone to dinner and they came running for the first time. Here is what they saw:

Needless to say they were a little bummed that they were not real cupcakes but meatloaf with mashed potato frosting. But they surprising tasted really good and the boys liked them. Nick took the leftovers to work for lunch, I can't wait to hear what his buddies say about his delicious meal.

April Fools

I am so glad that April Fools is over! From the time the boys woke up, it was tricks all day. Here are examples of the best material they had to offer.
Hey mom, your shoes untied! HA HA HA your not wearing shoes!
Hold you hand out, your hands on fire!
Your hair is covered in ice!
So after a day of these comments, I had my own trick to play. I had a doctor appointment scheduled on April Fools day in which I had an ultrasound done. Going in, I knew this could work to my advantage or not. I called Nick after my appointment to tell him the good news, that I decided to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I told him to get ready for boy #4, though he knew better to believe me on April Fools and called me out on my bluff. I tried to convince him the truth but he wasn't believing any of it. So when Kyler came home from school, I told him and Nathaniel about my appointment. They both got very excited to find out the news. Nathaniel wanted a girl and Kyler wanted a boy. I told them that it was a boy. Kyler was so excited and jumping around. When Nick got home from work, I had the boys tell him the news.

Kyler says, "Dad, mom went to the doctor and saw pictures of the baby. We're having a boy! It's not even an April Fools joke!"
Mom, "I never said that last part."
Kyler thinks for a minute, "do you mean?"
Mom, "April Fools! I didn't find out if its a boy or girl."
Kyler then starts crying and is very upset that he doesn't know.
Mom, "Kyler I'm sorry your crying, it was just a joke"
Kyler, "I really wanted to know what the baby will be. I can't wait till it's born.
Well, I felt really bad that he was so sad about it.

Meet Spiderman

Last week our boys got to go meet spiderman. They were very excited to see him. Spiderman came all the way from New York to teach kids about health and fitness at a local fitness place.

Kyler was lucky enough to be called on to help Spiderman show how to do a push up. I must say he had pretty good form.

He must have been doing to good cause here is Spiderman putting his foot on Kyler's back to make it harder. The boys had a great time with all the activities that were going on.
