Nine Years Of Happiness

Nine years ago today, Nick and I were sealed as husband and wife for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple. I was thinking back to that day. Our time to be sealed was at 1:00pm, it was a relaxing morning getting ready at the hotel with my mom and friend Erin helping me. We arrived at the temple early and I was very excited to see Nick. There was another couple there at the same time and when the temple workers were getting everyone ready they paired us off with the other couple. So Nick was to marry the other bride and I the other groom. The workers were so sure they had it right, it took some convincing to straighten it out. You would think we would know who we were to marry. Moments later we joked that it was probably divine intervention plus the other couple were good looking. It could have worked, right? Then I remember being in the brides room with my mother, what a special time that is between mother and daughter. Next, Nick and I were able to sit in a room while family and friends meet in the sealing room. Those few minutes together were so precious, time to think about the life and family we were about to start. The temple sealing was so special and spiritual. What a blessing it has been in our lives and a strength in our marriage. It has been a great nine years with Nick by my side taking care of me, laughing with me, and loving me. I love you Nick, happy anniversary!

The happy couple.

Coming out of the temple for the first time as husband and wife.

I love this picture because of the reactions of everyone in back, especially Nick's mom waving.

Jumping for joy!

This is our favorite picture, Nick is actually on my shoulders, only using his hand and foot for balance.

Birth Announcement

I decided to put McKayla's birth announcement on the blog so all can see it. I made them myself and am very pleased with how they turned out.

Camping Trip

A few weeks ago we went on a family camping trip. I wasn't so sure how it would go with McKayla being so little but it was a great time. We went up North Fork in Ogden Canyon. The boys love camping, exploring, and of course roasting marshmallows for smores. The next day we went swimming at Pineview Reservoir. The boys have been taking swimming lessons so they were super excited to go and not afraid of anything. Here are a few pictures of our adventure.

Nick, Kyler, and Nathaniel out in the water.

Logan sitting on the beach, he didn't feel like getting in the water much.

McKayla and her first camping trip, what to do with a newborn.

This picture is great because Kyler took it. He told Nick to hold McKayla and he will take their picture together, well then he takes the picture and crops Nick out on purpose. He said McKayla was just to cute by herself and needed a closeup.
